We received a vast number of high-quality entries, making selection a difficult task.

We look forward to showcasing more new monologues in 2026.

 

 

2025 SUBMISSION GUIDELINES


* Monologues must be 8 – 10 minutes in length.

*They may be written on any theme.

*Your monologue must be previously unproduced.

*Your name may NOT appear on the title page, or on the title page.

*Each writer may submit ONE entry only.

*Writers must be resident in the state of Victoria, and hold citizenship or PR status.

*Writers must be current members of Melbourne Writers’ Theatre – or join MWT at the time of submitting.

*Please email your script as a PDF – together with a 50w synopsis – to   melbournewriterstheatre@gmail.com

*All submitting writers will be advised of the selection outcome by Friday 13th December.
