On Saturday 6th April, the historic Council Chambers of the Fitzroy Town Hall formed the backdrop for two rehearsed readings presented by MWT. As part of the Fitzroy Writers’ Festival, MWT was invited to showcase some of the work created at the 2018 In One Act playwriting development program. In front of an appreciative festival audence, scripts by Miranda O’Connell Lever and Louise Riseley were presented by MWT actors Clare Larman, Alec Gilbert, Karissa Taylor and Kyle Roberts. MWT resident director Elizabeth Walley.directed this event, which was designed to give the local writing community a glimpse into the ‘In One Act’ program – an annual creative partnership between MWT and the City of Yarra.
