ST KILDA STORIES
26th – 30th September
The National Theatre, 20 Carlisle St, St Kilda

ST KILDA STORIES was our production for Melbourne Fringe 2017. We had a lot of fun with this monologue showcase, which was appreciated by audiences who attended across the five nights. St Kilda Stories was promoted as follows:

5 BITTER-SWEET STORIES WITH A SEASIDE AFTERTASTE
A 1942 AWAS officer and her chocolate Kooglhoupf. An encounter with a seagull on St Kilda Pier. A Pride marcher channelling Wonder Woman. Perhaps you never knew that St Kilda was held together entirely by folklore, hearsay and historical fact, but perhaps you did. Sink into these original monologues, which were imagined and written on and around Acland Street. 50 mins. 8pm nightly.
* Created by: Clare Mendes   Directed by: Elizabeth Walley

* Penned and performed by: the Writers and Actors of MWT

The Writers and Actors were, in fact:

ST KILDA STORIES was presented by Melbourne Writers’ Theatre in association with the National Theatre Melbourne for Melbourne Fringe 2017. MWT is grateful for the support of Travis Atkins and staff at St Kilda Tourism & Events (SKTE), who promoted this production via their website stkildamelbourne.com.au  and great little Kombi van.
